Wood information & assembly tips
Before you start assembly, please note this information about our wood to ensure smooth assembly and a long-lasting play experience.
Natural wood characteristics
These wood characteristics are normally harmless and do not usually affect the stability of your play equipment.

Knots, grain and pith tubes

Cracks
up to ½ the length of the sawn timber surface and cross-sectional depth

Patches or large areas of white to greenish discolouration
- Caused by escaping resin and the components of the impregnation
- Fades over time or disappears completely
Prepare for assembly
- Allow the wooden parts to dry for at least two days.
- As wood can change volume when drying, some parts are supplied without pre-drilled holes. Please drill these holes according to the assembly instructions.
- Simply sand down any rough surfaces and edges.
- Untreated wood: To protect against moisture and weathering, please apply 2 coats of protective paint.
- Impregnated wood: No protective paint necessary, can optionally be coated with a glaze certified according to DIN EN 71 Part 3.
