Frequently asked questions

minus-circle plus-circle Is there a guarantee on the commercial products?

If you purchase our Wickey anchors for attaching the climbing frame at the same time, you receive a 5-year guarantee on all wooden parts. Important details can be found in our Statement of Guarantee.

minus-circle plus-circle As a B2B customer, may I also use the climbing frames for private use?

Unfortunately, this option is not possible because there are legal requirements for the construction of playground equipment for public use. Commercial playground equipment must be certified according to specific DIN standards. All our EN-1176-certified playground equipment comes with a certificate and nameplate. Feel free to check out our large selection of playground equipment for public areas here Commercial playground equipment

minus-circle plus-circle How is the base frame constructed and how are the anchors set in concrete?

Proceed as follows when concreting in the anchors/erecting the base frame:

  • Assemble the base frame and place it in its final position. Please observe the safety distances indicated in the installation instructions.
  • Stake out the places around the posts where the base frame is to stand. Position the base frame so that all holes can be excavated easily. Tip: the holes should be approx. 70cm deep and have a diameter of around 30cm.
  • Mount the anchors on the inside of the posts.
  • Place the basic frame into its final position.
  • The climbing frame must be horizontally level. You can use stones or wooden wedges to achieve this.
  • Pour the ready-mixed concrete into the holes until they are filled to approx. 60cm. Make sure that only the anchors are covered with concrete, and that the posts remain free.
  • When the concrete has set, you can fill in the rest with topsoil.

Please ensure that the supporting posts of your climbing frame are in contact with the ground when concreting them in. Correct anchorage is necessary for the stability of your climbing frame and helps to prevent danger spots. It also protects your screws from premature rusting.

minus-circle plus-circle Does my product require TÜV approval?

After assembly, an acceptance test should be carried out by the TÜV or similar. Please get in touch with your local authority to obtain approval of your equipment before putting it into use. They put in an order for your playground equipment to be inspected. Approval can only be successful if the assembly is carried out exactly according to our assembly instructions.

You will be given detailed assembly instructions that guide you step by step on how to assemble the units. It is important to follow the instructions carefully in order to obtain TÜV certification.

The requirements for TÜV approval of commercial climbing frames can vary depending on the country, region and applicable regulations. In many countries, the local authorities have specific safety standards for kids' playgrounds and playground equipment. We recommend contacting the local authorities before installing a commercial climbing frame to ensure that all necessary permits and safety checks have been obtained.

minus-circle plus-circle Do I need rubber tiles for the PRO MAGIC climbing frames?

According to EN-1176, a European standard for playground equipment, there are specific guidelines for the required layer thickness of rubber tiles, sand or bark mulch. These specifications are intended to ensure that the rubber tile adequately cushions the impact of a fall from a certain height. The exact specifications may vary depending on the country, region and specific regulations, but here are a few general guidelines according to EN-1176:

  • 1. Rubber tiles: When using rubber tiles, the thickness of the tiles should depend on the drop height of the climbing frame. EN-1176 gives specific values. For example, a drop height of 1.50 metres could require a minimum thickness of 30 millimetres, while a drop height of 3.00 metres could require a minimum thickness of 60 millimetres. However, these values are only examples and may vary depending on the country and applicable regulations.
  • 2. Sand or bark mulch: EN-1176 also contains requirements for the layer thickness of sand or bark mulch depending on the drop height. Exact specifications may vary, but typically a layer thickness of about 40 centimetres of sand or 20 centimetres of bark mulch is recommended for a drop height of around 1.50 metres. For higher drop heights, the layers may need to be correspondingly thicker.

It is important to note that these details are intended as general guidelines and may differ from the specific requirements of your region. To meet the exact requirements for rubber tiles under a commercial climbing frame in accordance with EN-1176, you should contact the local authorities, playground experts or a certified expert who can give you precise information on the required layer thickness for your specific drop height.
